Our impact
Our impact begins with belief. When survivors are supported through the hardest parts of the system, safety increases and isolation decreases. Community care becomes possible. Healing begins.
I Believe HER Society is new, but our work grows from lived experience and a clear purpose. We are building supports that stay, programs that protect dignity, and advocacy that pushes for change where survivors need it most.
We measure impact in more than numbers. We look at moments of relief. A person feeling less alone in court. Someone gaining clarity in a confusing process. A survivor breathing easier because someone is beside them. These moments matter.
As we grow, our impact will expand to include:
• More survivors connected to trauma informed support
• Increased access to system navigation resources
• Policy change that protects vulnerable people
• Survivor voices shaping community understanding
• Creative healing spaces where identity and hope are reclaimed
Change starts with one survivor who does not have to face the storm alone. That is where our impact begins. 💜

Amplifying voices
Survivor voices deserve to be heard with respect, not questioned or minimized. We believe that storytelling can shift culture, influence policy, and help others feel less alone. We honor the courage it takes to speak and we support the choice to stay private.
As we grow, we will share survivor informed perspectives and lived experience knowledge that helps communities understand where change is needed. We will only share stories with full consent and with safety, dignity, and survivor control at the center.
No one needs to share details of their trauma to be believed. Every voice and every silence matters. Healing and advocacy take many forms. We are here to uplift survivors in the way that feels right for them.
Your voice matters, whether spoken or held safely inside.

Education and awareness
Understanding violence is the first step toward ending it. Many forms of abuse are invisible to the public, especially when they happen through legal systems and ongoing control after a relationship ends. We work to increase awareness of these realities and to help communities respond with compassion and accountability.
Our education efforts will focus on:
• How civil and family legal systems can impact survivors
• The signs and effects of post separation abuse
• How belief and trauma informed support improve safety
• The importance of regular screening and accountability in positions of trust
• The role of community in preventing ongoing harm
We share survivor informed knowledge that challenges silence and misinformation. We help people understand what survivors are facing so they can support change that protects safety and dignity.
This work is growing. Educational resources, workshops, and awareness campaigns will be shared as we build our foundation.
Together, we can create a world where survivors are believed, supported, and never asked to fight alone.

Policy and systemic change
Survivors deserve systems that protect safety and dignity. Yet many forms of violence are not recognized or responded to in ways that prevent ongoing harm. Systemic change is necessary so survivors do not face barriers that silence them or put them at further risk.
We work to improve how institutions and professionals respond to violence, especially in civil and family legal systems where ongoing abuse can continue without recognition. We advocate for stronger practices, trauma informed responses, and accountability in roles that hold power over survivor safety.
Our priorities include:
• Increasing survivor informed standards for system navigation and access to justice
• Improving responses to coercive control and post separation abuse
• Encouraging regular vulnerable sector screenings for positions of trust and care
• Promoting trauma informed approaches in legal and support services
• Ensuring survivors have meaningful opportunities to be heard in decision making
This advocacy grows from lived experience and from the voices of survivors who know where the system must change. We support reforms that protect people from ongoing harm and that honor the right to safety, choice, and community.
Survivors deserve systems that do not abandon them. Change must happen, and we will help create it.
